Women's Competitive Ladder Challenge for players rated 3.25-3.75

About this event

This Ladder is for those who find themselves playing the "dark side" at Deacons (the courts closest to the unused practice court) or for those who play at the far left courts at Hockessin PAL. It is suggested to register with a partner. If a partner is needed, we will try to pair you with another registered player. If you are not sure if this is the right ladder for you, then reach out to the organizer: Kenny Beach.

Event Rules

All games start simultaneously at the sound of the whistle.

Games are to 11, win by 2.

All games will be halted after 12 minutes with a water break between games.

The team with the highest points can win by one when play is halted due to time.

Tied games continue until next point wins with rally scoring. Sideout is considered a point.

Winners advance to the adjacent lower numbered court. (Towards court 1)

Non-winners digress to the adjacent higher numbered court. (Towards court 5)

Winning teams on court 1 hold the court.

Losing teams on the highest numbered court, court 5, stay on that court unless a bye is needed.

Byes are needed if there is an odd number of teams on-site for a particular round.

A bye means a team is on the bench for that round.

If a bye is needed it will be assigned to the lowest ranked, (highest court number) team, that has not had a bye

Byes will start with a team on court 5 and progress to teams on the next lower numbered courts as needed.

The goal is no more than one bye per team.

Late arrivals begin play at the highest numbered court.

We will not record scores. Your success will be determined by the court you attain and the fun that you have.

Players do not split. Teams have the option to switch sides at 6 points.
